A man accused of tearing up air-conditioning units at the Diboll Civic Center and stealing copper wire is now in the Angelina County Jail.

Angelina County jail officials transferred Damond Gobee Marshall, 37, of Houston, from a state jail facility to the Angelina County Jail on Tuesday.

Diboll Police have charged him with three counts of criminal mischief and three counts of felony theft in connection to a 2010 investigation into burglaries at the Diboll Civic Center.

Police used surveillance video to connect him to the crime. He was arrested on a drug charge in Harris County in February.

Det. Brandan Lovell said Lufkin Police are also serving their own warrants to him.
