NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Missouri man Tuesday night after reporting he had attacked a co-worker after learning he was dating his ex-girlfriend.

William Shannon Smith, 35, of St. Louis, Mo., is charged with burglary.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said deputies arrived at an RV park near Appleby around 11:30 p.m. in reference to neighbors' calls of a disturbance.

Deputies arrested Smith after learning he had knocked on the door of a trailer. Someone opened the door and he stormed inside and went straight to a bedroom in the back of the trailer and attacked the man in the room.

Kerss said the victim suffered minor injuries. Smith attacked him because of a dating relationship the victim was having with Smith's ex-girlfriend.

Both men work for Fegan, the construction company building the Southern Power biomass plant in Sacul, Kerss said.
