NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office is charging two men and a woman with meth charges following a suspicious activity call Thursday night.
Sheriff Thomas Kerss said one of his deputies, Ben Curtis, answered the call of unspecified suspicious activity at a residence on County Road 784 around 9:10 p.m. Curtis knocked on the door, and when someone answered, he caught a smell of cooked meth, Kerss said.
Curtis received permission to search the residence and called for assistance. Kerss said the deputies found enough evidence to charge the trio with possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and possession of transport chemicals with intent to manufacture, a second-degree felony.
The deputies arrested Stephen Ray Savell, 34, of Nacogdoches; Joseph Todd Wynne, 27, of Douglass; and Kristy Michelle Wynne, 31, of Nacogdoches.
