Diboll Lady Jacks 'Dig Pink' and hope you will, too

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - The Diboll Lady Jacks and their fans are shedding their traditional red jerseys for a shade of pink Tuesday night.

Their Dig Pink game is part of their campaign to help raise awareness about breast cancer.  Festivities will begin around 6:45 tomorrow night and the varsity volleyball game will follow.  If you don't already have your Dig Pink shirt, some will be available for order and of course they will also be taking cash donations.  All of the money goes to Dig Pink and the fight against breast cancer.

More than 2.5 million women in the United States have beaten breast cancer or are currently in treatment for it.  While women are at far greater risk for breast cancer, men get it too.

And, although there's no sure-fire way to prevent breast cancer, certain lifestyle habits are linked to a lower risk of developing it. Getting regular mammograms and breast exams is also important, because these tests can find breast cancer early, when it is more treatable. Listen to some real women talk about getting a mammogram, and sign up for the American Cancer Society's mammogram reminder to make sure you don't forget yours.
