LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a man on an accusation that he touched a girl inappropriately in an investigation that began after a teacher reported the girl's journal entry to authorities.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the girl wrote in her school journal on September 23, "I wish I had a better life. I got raped by Justin and I'm scared to tell my mom."

The teacher read the entry on September 26 when she was grading journals and reported it to the school counselor, who eventually alerted Child Protective Services.

CPS met with the girl, who said that Justin Delane Nash, 32, had touched her inappropriately.

Nash is on probation for physically assaulting another child.

A detective obtained a warrant for Nash's arrest on Tuesday, the same day he was booked into the Angelina County Jail.

Bail has not been set for his release.
