Federal cocaine suspects enters not guilty plea

BEAUMONT, TX (KTRE) -

A man named in a federal grand jury indictment for alleged cocaine activity in Nacogdoches County has entered a not guilty plea on the charges.

Maxi Antione Deckard, 31, will remain under federal custody. His bail is set at $50,000.

A final pretrial hearing is set for December 2.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested Deckard on September 16, 2010, following a raid on a Woden Road home. Deputies reported recovering approximately 50 grams of crack cocaine and $2,600 in cash.

Count Two of the indictment references a September 16 incident. The other offenses allegedly occurred on March 9, 2011, and Aug. 26, 2010.
