A Nacogdoches teenager is in the hospital after being hit by a motorist a left laying in a ditch.
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, they received a called from Matthew Hamilton, 22, of Nacogdoches around 11:57 p.m. Friday night. He stated that he thought he possibly hit someone with his pickup truck in the 4400 block of North University Drive. Hamilton had already left the scene when he called authorities.
When officers got to the scene, they noticed a 16-year-old male, later identified as Gary Brown, lying in the ditch.
No word has been given on charges against Hamilton at this time. As of Monday, Brown was still recovering in a Nacogdoches hospital.
