A Lufkin man is free on bond after being charged with setting is own house on fire last month. Max Dean Cruseturner was arrested on a charge of arson of a habitation. He posted a $5,000 bail on Tuesday and is out of the Angelina County Jail.
Cruseturner's house burnt down on November 13. At the time, Cruseturner told investigators that he was sitting in the back of his house when he smelled smoke. He went outside to the front of his home and noticed fire was coming out the front windows. Investigators suspected someone may have set the house on fire purposely. Cruseturner may have been that person.
