NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man already serving a 20-year prison sentence for abducting and raping a teenaged girl will now serve 20 extra years for a different sexual assault charge.
Leroy Diamond Jr., 43, accepted the 20-year sentence in August, after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting the girl by having sex with her near a Woden Cemetery.
In Judge Ed Klein's courtroom on Thursday, Diamond pleaded guilty to several unrelated charges, including sexual assault of a child and sexual assault.
The pleas included several concurrent sentences, but the largest was a 40-year sentence. That will be served concurrently with his current 20-year sentence.
