Nacogdoches man accused of storming into house with gun

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police arrested a man Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into a home to shoot someone.

Adam Tyvon Shepherd, 18, of Nacogdoches, is charged with burglary with intent to commit assault, a first-degree felony.

According to the report, officers were dispatched to a residence on the 2500 block of Pettit Street, after a report of a gun being fired. Officers learned Shepherd had been involved in a disturbance at the residence and left and returned with a handgun, according to the report.

Shepherd fired the gun into the ground in the yard, then forced his way into the residence without permission, according to the report.

Officers were able to arrest Shepherd at the scene.
