No verdict yet for suspect in Baseline Killer case

PHOENIX (AP) -

Jurors on the so-called Baseline Killer trial have finished their sixth day of deliberations without reaching a verdict.

The jury will continue deliberating at 10 a.m. Monday in the murder trial of Mark Goudeau.

The 47-year-old former construction worker has pleaded not guilty to nine murder counts and 63 other charges, including rape, kidnapping and child molestation.

The charges stem from the Baseline Killer case that terrorized Phoenix in 2005 and 2006, along with the so-called Serial Shooter case.

If jurors find Goudeau guilty of any one of the nine murders, he could face the death penalty.

He's already serving a 438-year prison sentence after being convicted in a 2005 sexual assault of two sisters that were connected to the Baseline Killer crimes.
