Witness Says Teacher Assaulted Student with "Mouth and Hands"

Testimony continues in the case of a former Livingston High School trainer who is accused of sexually assaulting several children according to ABC affiliate KBTX in Bryan/College Station, a witness in the trial of Shannon "Doc" Wheat, says the teacher drugged and sexually molested him multiple times.

After opening arguments Tuesday, the state prosecutor called it's first witness. A now 16-year-old male from Livingston told jurors that 39-year-old Shannon Wheat used his hands and mouth to touch him. Wheat pleaded guilty to two counts of indecency with a child, but pleaded not guilty to assault of a child. The witness, who was 14 at the time, said the defendant would ask him to work at a farm and then take him to a motel at night. There, the victim testified Wheat offered him the prescription pill Ambien and then slept in the same bed. Testimony will continue Thursday.
