NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police arrested a man Monday night after he allegedly threw a beer at a clerk after he had stolen it from the store.

According to the police report, Jeremy Lawrence Myhres, 25, of Nacogdoches, stole beer from the Chevron gas station, located at 3228 North Street.

The clerk in the store chased Myhres, who threw one of the beer bottles at him, striking him in the arm, according to the report.

Police located Myhres at a nearby apartment complex and arrested him.

Because police say he caused injury to the clerk in the act of theft, he is charged with robbery.

The clerk was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a Nacogdoches hospital.
