Grad Student Charged with Supporting Terrorism

Prosecutors say he put together Web sites to recruit and raise money for Muslim terrorist groups.

A Saudi graduate student at the University of Idaho was indicted today, charged with providing material support to terrorism.

The indictment came two weeks before the 33-year-old computer expert (Sami Omar Al-Hussayen) was set to go on trial for visa fraud. He's been jailed since last February.

A U.S. attorney says the man knew his expertise would be used by those who kidnap, maim and murder.

But a defense attorney says his client is not guilty of assisting terrorists.
