Horses Seized are Getting Care They Need

A herd of malnourished horses that were standing in the cold wet rain in a muddy lot, are now grazing in sunshine on tall grass and bales of hay.

The horses were seized by Shelby County Sheriff's Department with the help of two equine rescue groups.

The horses are on a Nacogdoches County ranch where they were seen basking in the sun with lots of grass and hay.

On January 14th a judge will decide the permanent fate of the malnourished horses. They could be returned to the owners or placed with the rescue groups for adoption.
