Many of life's lessons are learned the hard way, and as far as the Columbia disaster goes, we definitely learned a lot.

The things we found out in the past year will help build a better space program in the future. We learned that we cannot always pass over the little things, and perhaps most importantly, we learned humility, and that we cannot control everything.

    Investigators looking into the Columbia accident are almost certain they know what caused the shuttle to break apart. In San Antonio they conducted a test by firing a piece of foam at a shuttle wing, and the results appear to support their theory. More >>
