President Bush is resting up at his ranch in Texas this weekend, as he prepares for a Western Hemisphere summit in Mexico.
The Summit of the Americas, starting Monday in Monterrey, will discuss development, trade and the temporary worker plan Bush proposed this week to deal with illegal immigration.
Meantime, the president's using his weekend radio address today to trumpet the latest drop in the jobless rate. It's now at five-point-seven percent, the lowest in 14 months. And Bush says it's another sign the economy's on the rebound. However, overall job creation remains sluggish. And Bush will acknowledge more needs to be done to boost it.
Bush's visit to his Prairie Chapel ranch in Crawford is already his second this year. He rang in the New Year there with family and friends, and stayed through last weekend.
