Three Lufkin residents were robbed at gunpoint last night and early this morning. And all the robberies happened in a span of three hours.
The first one took place around 10:00 Friday night in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall drive. A 22 year old student was walking back to his dorm from Wal-Mart when a car pulled up behind him. The victim said he saw a man get out of the vehicle and approach him quickly with a pistol in his hand. The robber grabbed his wallet and drove away.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, another robbery happened at the K & D Car Wash on South Chestnut. A similar robbery took place.
Soon after, a third robbery was reported by a man with a flat tire at 500 Abney Street.
At this time, it is not known if all three robberies are related. However, each of the victims provided very similar descriptions of the robber and the handgun used. Detectives are currently working the case.
