LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A pre-trial hearing and other deadlines have been set for the case of a Lufkin doctor accused of committing tax fraud from 2004 to 2006.
A federal grand jury indicted Dr. David A. Mosig in October. Mosig made his initial appearance in Beaumont on Tuesday.
A final pre-trial conference is set for December 19 at 10 a.m. in Beaumont, in which dates for a jury selection and trial will be determined.
Mosig's attorney has until December 5 to file a motion for continuance. Any plea agreement must be reached by December 12.
Mosig, 60, is accused of claiming total incomes of $0 in 2004, 2005 and 2006 on his tax returns.
