LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Mosaic Center of Lufkin opens its doors for the Annual Thanksgiving Open House, thanking members of the community for their involvement in helping the organization.
The center offers education, guidance, and hope for women in Angelina County who haven't had financial or emotional opportunities.
Since opening its doors six years ago, in 2005, the mosaic center has helped over 1,850 women.
"It's very inspiring when you see the girls that come through the program and hear their stories and how they've come to know Christ and how they've come to know women care about them in Angelina County," said President of the Board of the Mosaic Center, Thalia Tierney. "And, that there are possibilities for them, even though they may have had difficulties in their life."
The Mosaic Center is always accepting donations of any kind from members of the community. They are also looking for volunteer prayer partners, mentors, class instructors, and more.
