ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County deputies arrested a 66-year-old woman Sunday evening after she allegedly pointed a gun at her grandson after she thought he took her medication.
Deputies responded to the residence on Lazybrook Drive at 5:13 p.m. They interviewed a 26-year-old man, who said his grandmother, Billie Lois Carrington, of Huntington, went into his room and pointed a 38 revolver at him and demanded her medication back.
The man said he ran outside the house and she followed him out there with the gun, still wanting her medication.
Lt. Pete Cooper said deputies arrived and took a statement from the man and arrested Carrington on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies did not determine if the man had taken the medication.
Carrington remains in the jail, waiting for a bond to be set, as of 11:45 a.m. Monday.
