Manger Network Reaches 1300 Families

Hundreds of area service agencies are celebrating another successful season of giving. After a year already filled with giving, through the worlds largest baby shower and KSWP fan drive, the Manger Network was able to help hundreds of area families with food, clothing and presents around the holiday season. Organizers say the charity drives even surpassed their expectations.

"We were expecting about 11-hundred and 12-hundred families. We actually reached more than 13-hundred families," said Al Ross of KSWP. "And that's not counting the ones that were on the waiting list that we were able to help after the holidays."

Ross attributes the network's success to the nearly 900 volunteers that took part in this year's holiday drives and says he hopes to expand the ministry in 2004.
