Lufkin doctor forced to forfeit license

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin doctor is surrendering his medical license after reaching an agreement with the state board.

Doyle Hubbard Brashear, a psychiatrist, is surrendering the license because he could not fulfill the terms of his agreed order in 2010, which included to cease treatment of chronic pain patients and complete eight hours of CME in medical record-keeping.

The agreed order came after the board determined he could not maintain adequate medical records or follow board rules on the treatment of pain.
