Bossier riverboat gambling proposal passes

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A proposal to expand riverboat gambling in Bossier Parish to  include the new Margaritaville Resort, Hotel and Casino has passed. 

With 8,123 (61%) voting For and 5,114 (39%) Against, the developers are now free to begin work on the $195 million resort, casino and hotel project.  It's expected to create 1200 new, permanent jobs in the Ark-La-Tex.
