LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Huntington man has pleaded guilty to driving drunk in Huntington while his grandchildren were on the roof of his vehicle.
William Chambliss, 70, accepted three years probation on charges of DWI with a child and child endangerment.
Huntington Police received a call in July of a man driving a Toyota SUV on Main Street in Huntington with two girls on the roof. An officer responded to the call and saw the girls on the roof of the car with their feet dangling on the sunroof.
Both of the girls, who were Chambliss' grandchildren, were 13.
Under the terms of the probation, Chambliss was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Friday for 10 days.
