Fourth East Texan Dies in Operation Iraqi Freedom

The Department of Defense says Specialist Larry Polley Junior of Center died Saturday when the Bradley Fighting Vehicle he was riding in struck an explosive device and overturned. Two other soldiers in the same vehicle were also killed. The attack occurred outside a small town north of Baghdad.

Polley was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas. Larry Polley Junior is the fourth East Texan killed in Iraq. All four of them died after the end of major combat operations.
