LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man accused of selling cocaine to undercover informants in August.
According to a Lufkin Police report, an officer stopped a Ford pickup in the 1600 block of East Lufkin Avenue at 2:47 p.m. and identified the driver as Israel Rodriguez Deltoro, 51, of Lufkin, who had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
In the truck, the officer found a plastic bag containing cocaine, according to the report.
Deltoro was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
According to the report, the outstanding warrants came following an investigation in which Deltoro twice sold cocaine to confidential informants -- once within 1,000 feet of a church and day care, enhancing the offense to a first-degree felony.
