Weather Woes Send Federal Employees Home Early

It's a federal shut-down of sorts.

With weather problems blamed for three deaths in the Washington DC area, federal workers have been sent home early.

Icy conditions have snarled traffic, hampered mass transit and closed most area school systems.

Coming on the heels of a snowfall, a new coating of freezing rain made matters worse today along the east coast.
