NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a Joaquin man Monday night after a deputy reported he was driving intoxicated with three child passengers.
Sheriff Thomas Kerss said a deputy saw a Chevy Camaro on State Highway 21 West and the driver had committed a couple traffic violations. Kerss said the deputy tried to stop the vehicle, but it was not until they reached the city limits when he actually stopped.
The deputy determined the driver, Stan Howard Kyle, 42, was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. During a search, the deputy found Kyle to have cocaine in his possession, Kerss said.
Kyle had three child passengers, aged 3, 8 and 14. Kerss said their mother was called to the scene and picked them up.
Kyle is charged with DWI with a child passenger and possession of a controlled substance.
