SFA Men's basketball ready to host E-tech classic

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - After playing only two games in Nacogdoches over the last month the SFA men's basketball team returns home. This weekend the 'Jacks will host the third annual E-tech Lumberjack classic.

The Lumberjacks will have two big challenges taking on reigning SWAC champion Alabama State in the opener before facing Isiah Thomas' Florida International in the tournament finale.

Head coach Danny Kaspar says its just nice to be back in East Texas.

"I'm real happy to be at home, it keeps you out of airports and it keeps you off of a bus," said Kaspar. "Now the schedule is going to be a little bit more in our favor in terms of home games. I'm hoping we can take advantage of our games here and get some victories out of it.

Coach Kaspar also said the 'Jacks are the only Southland conference team to host a tournament or classic thanks to E-tech. So far SFA is 3-3 on the young season.
