In December 2011, Dia Wall joined the KLTV/KTRE news team. Dia is a "Texas Girl" through and through. Born in Houston and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Dia is a proud TCU graduate (go Frogs). She has spent her entire career in the Lone Star State.
After earning her degree in broadcast journalism from Texas Christian University, Dia worked at Dallas Cowboys Broadcasting for almost three years, covering the Cowboys' final season at Texas Stadium, and then the construction and opening of the new Cowboys' Stadium. Dia has been face to face with the man who runs the Cowboys off the field, Jerry Jones, and stood up to the man who runs quarterbacks off the field, defensive superstar Demarcus Ware.
Dia also interviewed 10-time world champion boxer Manny Pacquaio, who, quite honestly, packs a mean punch.
In January 2011, Dia joined KXII-TV in Sherman as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. She covered stories such as the ice storms, how the drought hurt farmers and ranchers, and had an exclusive series on the efforts of a local crisis center to curb human trafficking.
Because Meals on Wheels is close to Dia's heart, don't be surprised if you see her delivering meals to seniors all over East Texas. She is also passionate about mentoring and inspiring teens.
Dia enjoys cooking, baking, dining out and watching anything food-related on TV. She also loves music, her naturally curly hair (and who wouldn't?!), cowboy boots and TCU football.
Dia is excited to be a part of the Good Morning East Texas team and the KLTV/KTRE family. She looks forward to helping you start your day!
