A Virginia woman with charges pending out of state got the Texas portion of her troubles out of the way, accepting a prison sentence in a vehicle chase which ended with a state trooper shooting out her tire.

Jessica Finney, 24, of Virginia Beach, pleaded guilty to evading arrest, accepting an 18-month state jail sentence, in addition to pleading guilty to prohibitive substance in a correctional facility, accepting a two-year prison sentence.

Finney was arrested in August, along with Micaya Lindsay Detoro, 18, and Sean Joseph Radus, 25, both also of Virginia Beach, Va., after a DPS trooper tried to stop them for speeding in Trinity County. Finney, the driver, did not slow down and the trooper had to shoot out a tire. Finney kept driving until reaching Hudson.

Authorities uncovered a large sum of money in the pickup and believe they had stolen money from a KFC in Virginia, as well as mail from mailboxes along the way until they had reached Texas.
