You know spring isn't far away when organizers of the March of Dimes Walk America kicks off its campaign. The April 24th walk is hoping to raise $68,000 this year.
The money will be used to help babies like Brett Clark of Nacogdoches. Clark was born four months early, weighing only one pound, 9 ounces. His twin brother lived only six months, but thanks to March of Dimes research Brett is doing well according to his grandmother, Debra McShane.
"Science is the most wonderful thing there is. Without technology we have today in the medical field Brett probably would not be with us and due to that we can not thank the doctors and the medical field enough," said McShane.
