Small Plane Goes Down into Pacific Ocean Off Port of Los Angeles

Southern California authorities say a small plane has crashed into the ocean about a half-mile from the Port of Los Angeles.

The Coast Guard says it's not known yet what type of plane crashed or how many people were aboard.

An oil slick and limited debris have been spotted on the surface.

Divers have been attempting to locate the plane.

Water in the area is about 65 feet deep, but visibility is said to be poor.
