East Texans React To Racy Superbowl Halftime Show

Following their racy superbowl halftime show, the two performers say Justin Timberlake was supposed to pull off the black bustier and leave Janet Jackson's red lace bra intact, but many people across the country, and here in East Texas, believe that the entire incident was a planned stunt.

From the way things are looking, Super Bowl XXXVIII won't be remembered for Adam Vinatieri's game winning field goal, but for it's already famous and controversial halftime show. NFL's top brass was quick to express concerns.

"I just want to say one thing about the halftime entertainment which we found offensive, embarrassing to us and our fans, and inappropriate," said NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue.

The question remains... was it indeed a honest accident... or was it a pre-planned stunt that went to far?

"I'm a huge N'Sync fan and a huge Justin Timberlake fan, but, watching last night, it looked like it was choreographed in there for the shock value of what they did," said one East Texas woman.

Others didn't think it was that big of a deal.

"I kind of think it was blown out of proportion, like, it really wasn't that bad. She fixed it right after it happened so I don't think it should have acquired all this media attention that it did," said another East Texas resident.

Commissioner Tagliabue says the NFL will change its policies, people and processes before the next Super Bowl, to ensure that the entertainment is appropriate for a game of this stature.
