Hudson couple needs help making 'Dream Center' come true

HUDSON, TX (KTRE) – A Hudson couple is bringing hope to East Texas by establishing the East Texas Dream Center.

Jeremy and Billie Jean Johnson founded His Heart His Hands Ministry over a year ago as a means to minister to those who have been abused, homeless, and facing other hardships.

On Wednesday, the couple showed property they were planning to purchase in order to house, feed, and offer classes for those in need.

The couple is trying to raise funds for the property, which cost an estimated $500,000.  "It blesses me to see others also carry the burden for the people that are hurting in the area, and that can be anybody. It can be me. It can be you. So, it really makes my heart swell with pride, knowing I'm part of this community," said Billie Jean Johnson, Co-founder.

The Johnsons hope to raise the funds within the next 6 months.  If you would like to volunteer, or donate, contact the ministry at 1-855-568-3911, or visit their Facebook page at His Heart His Hands Ministries.
