LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a Pollok man accused of using more than $100,000 from his employer to pay bills.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Jon Thomas Lacount, 37, stole the money for several years from his employer, East Texas Open MRI.

Research shows Lacount used the money to make payments on personal credit cards, property taxes, dental work, vehicle work and for groceries, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit states workers at the business said Lacount had admitted to stealing from the company to pay bills.

Court records show a grand jury indicted Lacount on Tuesday and he was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Wednesday, where he posted a $20,000 bond.
