LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police Department received a call around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, reporting that a disturbance was in progress. Once on the scene, officers were approached by Brandy Williamson, 24.
Williamson reported that she and her live-in boyfriend, Lloyd Kelley, 26, were arguing over a text message she received on her phone. Williamson said Kelley then pulled her out of a truck, stating that he was going to leave in the truck. Williamson refused to leave and leaned inside the truck through the opened driver's side window. Williamson told officers that Kelley then grabbed her arm and held onto it while he drove away. Williamson showed officers several red scratches on her arm.
Kelley reported that the argument stemmed from Williamson's suspected drug use. He stated when he got into his truck to leave, while backing out the driveway, Williamson jumped on the side of his truck and began hitting him in the side of his face.
Officers observed a red scratch on Kelley's neck, accompanied by a cut on the inside of his lip. Witnesses on scene confirmed parts of both stories.
Kelley was arrested for aggravated assault- family violence with a vehicle. Williamson was arrested for assault-family violence with bodily injury. Both were booked into the Angelina County Jail.
