How Chiropractic Works

The nervous system, protected by the skull and spinal column, controls virtually every cell, tissue, organ, and system of the body.  Thirty-one pairs of spinal nerves extend from the brain and exit through openings between the 24 vertebrae of the spine.

When vertebrae lose their position, pressure on the nerves can disturb normal body function. Like “orthodontics” for the spine, Chiropractic Manipulation Therapy (C.M.T.) can help restore the normal position of the vertebrae and train them to maintain proper alignment, movement, and function and reduce nerve pressure and interference.
