SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - According to Kelly Parker, step-mother of missing teenager, Kelsie Parker, both Kelsie and her boyfriend, Blake Trahan were found safely around 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning in Smith County.
She says the two were found at Lake Tyler, living out of the blue minivan they took from Trahan's grandmother. Both were scared to go back home.
"Parents, check your kids' everything. There should be no privacy. If you have to, take the doors off of their bedrooms. Don't let them keep anything secret, because we're finding out more about just what secrets they've been keeping," said Kelly Parker.
Deputy White with the Smith County Sheriff's Department located the two teens in the missing Dodge van they had been driving. Deputy White found the van parked at Lake Tyler with the pair inside. Both teens were unharmed. The teens have been reunited with their families, and they have returned to school today.
Sheriff Johnson said in a press release, he would like to thank all the various Law Enforcement agencies, and citizens, who assisted in the search for the missing juveniles during the past week. A special thank you goes to Shelby County Deputy Jim Matthews who spent countless hours of his off-duty time assisting in this search.
