LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman who pleaded guilty to child endangerment after her child ingested PCP is back in jail after failing a drug test.
Julia Shawentay Goodwin, 31, pleaded guilty to the charge in March, accepting a probation sentence.
According to Dustin Fore, a supervisor at the Angelina County Adult Probation Department, Goodwin failed a drug test and was arrested at drug court Monday night.
The drug court team will now decide whether to sanction Goodwin or to file a motion to revoke her probation.
Goodwin was arrested in March after Lufkin Police investigated a child in the emergency room at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas in Lufkin. Staff performed a drug test and found evidence of PCP.
