ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Huntington man accused of misplacing a $10,000 Freighliner truck.

Kristopher Cade Hopson, 35, is charged with theft, a state-jail felony.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, a woman contacted the sheriff's office to report that Hopson had taken the truck to do some work on it in December 2010. He never returned it and avoided the woman, according to the affidavit, and the woman told him he either needed to return it or pay her for it.

Hopson admitted to law enforcement that he had the truck but does not know where it is now, according to the affidavit.

An investigator obtained a warrant for Hopson's arrest on October 14 and he was arrested on Monday, where he is being held on a $3,500 bond.
