NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Tuesday afternoon after determining he had threatened his mother with a knife during an argument.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a residence on State Highway 7 East at 12:23 p.m. They learned that William Franklin Husband, 42, had been in an argument with his mother in reference to a child custody issue with his ex-wife.
During the argument, Husband grabbed a knife and threatened his mother, according to the report. The woman told him she would call law enforcement and he threatened her again and walked out of the house with the knife, according to the report.
When deputies arrived, Husband was outside the house but did not have the knife, according to the report.
After taking witness statements, deputies gathered enough evidence to arrest Husband on a charge of aggravated assault.
