LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man who managed to get a probation sentence in July for having inappropriate relationships with two underage girls now faces prison time after allegedly violating numerous probation terms.
Tuesday's arrest of Joseph Michael Weeks, 20, comes just four months after he had to serve 10 days in jail for violating a term of his probation.
According to Dustin Fore, a supervisor with the adult probation department, the district attorney's office filed a motion to adjudicate guilt on Weeks after they discovered he was drinking alcohol, viewing pornography, using the Internet, having contact with minors, associating with felons and failing to pay fines, all violations of his probation terms.
Fore said the department is requesting his probation be revoked to prison, where he could serve a sentence between two and 20 years.
Weeks was originally charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child, but pleaded guilty to lesser charges of injury to a child in July, which kept him from having to register as a sex offender.
Hudson Police arrested Weeks in July 2010 after he and a 13-year-old girl got high on cough syrup. The girl said Weeks then forced himself on her at a house in Hudson, even when she told him to stop. Weeks later told police he did have sex with the girl, but that the sex was mutual and he did not force himself on her.
Weeks was out on bond on the charge when he was arrested again, this time by Lufkin Police, in February, following an investigation into a December allegation that he touched a 15-year-old girl in her private area in the theater of Lufkin Mall. The girl then performed oral sex on him in the theater.
Weeks served 10 days in jail in September following a judicial administrative hearing in which he violated his probation by looking at pornography and being caught with a Facebook page.
