Elementary kids turn cafeteria into colonial times

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - This present-day elementary school in Lufkin turned into Boston, Massachusetts as 1,800 as students turned their cafeteria into colonial times.

Many of these Brandon elementary fifth-graders dressed in costume and displayed the different characters they were portraying. The learned several occupations like a blacksmith, butcher, and school teacher.

The project was part of the curriculum to teach the children about the New England colonial days.
