LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man accused of exposing meth to two children.
The Angelina County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant for Benjamin Scott McCoy, 23, of Lufkin, on two charges of endangering a child. The charges stem from a Dec. 28 meth bust on Pershing Avenue.
Deputies arrested McCoy and Laura E. Dixon, 34, of Lufkin, following an investigation into drug activity at the home. CPS took custody of the two children, both aged 5, and tests were conducted to see if they had been exposed to meth.
Sgt. Allen Hill said in a previous interview that Dixon is now in drug rehab and will be re-arrested on the new charges once she is out.
Records show McCoy was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Tuesday. He is waiting for a bond to be set.
