LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Four people are named in a 21-count federal indictment which alleges they conspired to cook meth by buying pseudeophedrine from pharmacies in the counties of Angelina, Nacogdoches, Cherokee and Smith and making meth in Angelina County.
Darrell Jean Peel, 31, of Lufkin; Katherine Nugent, unknown age and residence; Jason E. Wolf, 35, of Alto; and Brandy Michelle Beam, 27, of Huntington; are charged with one count of conspiracy to manufacture meth and 20 counts of possession of a list 1 chemical.
The grand jury made the indictment on Dec. 14. It alleges the quartet began the conspiracy in 2008.
Their case is scheduled for a jury selection and trial on March 12, in the Lufkin federal courthouse. The defendants have until Feb. 13 to file a motion for continuance.
Beem, Nugent and Peel were released on bond. Wolf was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday, on a federal hold.
