LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A man is still listed in critical condition, three days after being hit by an SUV while he was walking on Timberland Drive.

The accident report identifies the man as Jaime Lopez and that he was flown to a Tyler hospital. Records at ETMC in Tyler list Lopez as being in critical condition.

According to Lufkin Police spokesman J.B. Smith, the accident report has not been submitted and the investigating officer will not return to work until Wednesday.

On Friday, Cpl. Nick Malone said Lopez was walking in the turning lane on the 400 block of North Timberland Drive when he was hit by a 2003 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Johnathan McGinty, 30, of Huntington, at 11:20 a.m., which was traveling northbound.

Malone said on Friday that witnesses had conflicting statements about what happened.
