Ft. Bend County authorities search for missing man with ties to East Texas

Fort Bend Co., TX (KTRE) – Fort Bend County officials have broadened their search to East Texas for a man missing for almost a month from the Kingsbridge subdivision of Fort Bend County.

Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that will help them find Derrick Dwayne Daniels, 39.

Daniels was last seen at his residence in Fort Bend County on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012. He was known to be driving a 2002 tan-colored Chevrolet Tahoe, Texas license plate TXS-105.   A news release states, "Daniels was believed to be meeting with unknown subjects in North Houston during the noon hours of Jan. 4."  Daniels is now listed as a missing person. 

He is described as a black male, 5-feet 11 inches in height, weighing between 200 to 220 pounds. He has some scarring visible on his chin and at the hairline on his forehead.  Investigators say he also has friends and family residing in the Nacogdoches area in East Texas.
