CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) -

A Livingston man is in critical condition after his minivan collided with four 18-wheelers Monday afternoon.

Corrigan Police and the Polk County Sherriff's Office responded to the pile-up before 2:30 along the 300 block of Highway 59 South in Corrigan.

Police say one of the 18-wheelers rear-ended another, causing a domino effect.

The driver of the van, whose name has not been released, was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. The man was listed in critical condition.

The driver of one of the big rigs was treated and released from Lufkin Memorial.

Trucker Misael Garcia, 31, of Texas City was cited for failure to control speed.
